La Casa Del Tono

Casa del Tono gave me the relaxation I badly needed, and I missed the place as soon as I left. I stayed from October 5th to 13th, had a wonderful time, and even extended by a day. I would have stayed longer, and I'll be back. It's a peaceful area right by the sea, with warm, clear water and a pebble beach. The seabed gets deeper about 5 meters from shore. Petra was helpful and kind from the moment I booked. Since I don't eat croissants, she made an effort to give me an enjoyable breakfast with yogurt, excellent fruit juices, and fresh fruit. There are easy trails through beautiful coastal scenery at Capo Milazzo, where you can also swim. Milazzo Castle is a few minutes away by car. It's the most complete in Italy, spans 9 centuries of history, and has sections for the Museum of the Sea, Tuna, Puppets, and more. The city center is also worth visiting for its history and lively, charming bars. A couple of suggestions for the owner. The cakes and pastries supplier could be reconsidered, or the bakery could be replaced by a pastry shop. I don't think it would cost much more, and guests would get something fresher and more fragrant. I'd also suggest more specific cleaning products, perhaps hotel-grade ones, so that fresh, clean smell is still there when guests come back to the room. This isn't to say the rooms weren't clean. Serena did her best with the products available, but that extra touch was missing. I don't mean these as criticisms, only suggestions for improving a B&B that I already find magnificent, for my tastes.
