Every space, indoors and out, was spotless and thoughtfully decorated, and the rooms were immaculate. Breakfast was wonderful, all homemade, with both sweet and savory choices. The place is carefully put together down to the smallest details, combining modern comforts with the feel of stepping back in time. The location is perfect, and the staff were so kind and attentive that they planned our whole holiday with excellent suggestions for exploring Salento. We had an amazing stay. If I come back to Salento, I already know where I’ll stay.

Breakfast on the terrace was a lovely start to each morning, with a nice mix of sweet and savory options. The town is quiet, friendly, and charming, while Otranto, Lecce, Galatina, the botanical gardens, and lidos are all easy to reach. The Dimora and its grounds are beautiful, as was our room. Anna welcomed us warmly, and her suggestions for places to visit were invaluable. Highly recommended.

We stayed three nights and could easily have stayed longer. The town is small and lovely, close to Otranto, and this Dimora has a lot to offer for its size. On arrival we were pointed to Osteria Origano, which was a great recommendation. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, and ours even had two balconies. There’s a pleasant pool with sunbeds, and breakfast on the roof terrace is a perfect start to the day. The pillows could be better and the shower cabin felt a bit worn, but we’d happily come back soon.

Elsa and Anna, the two young sisters who own the place, clearly care about local life. They share thoughtful advice on traditions and what’s new in the area. I know Salento well, but the colors, calm, and atmosphere here still charmed me. It’s also a handy base for reaching many of the places to see around this part of Salento. The setting is a remarkable 16th-century Ducal Palace, right by Minervino’s central square, yet it feels peaceful and private. The restored floors and frescoes show the building’s beauty, and the rooms are very clean and tastefully furnished. Breakfast on the terrace looks out over the rooftops; it’s quiet except for birds overhead and the village church bells.
