Agriturismo Ca' Maggio

The grounds are lovely, and the rooms are spacious, pretty and very clean. But the home-cooked dinners were the highlight for us. We had fresh seafood, excellent steak, homemade pasta and inventive appetizers, and every bit of it was amazing. We felt like personal guests instead of just customers. I'd highly recommend eating there at least once.

We spent 8 nights here and still didn't have enough time to see all the beautiful places nearby. Among the spots we visited, Urbino, Pesaro and San Marino stood out. The property sits on a hill at the foot of Mount Titan, on the border between Emilia Romagna and Marche. The accommodation was very comfortable, with large, clean rooms and everything needed to relax. Mister. Alberto looks after things to make sure guests feel good. There's also a large, very well-maintained pool for anyone who wants to take it easy. I warmly recommend the place, and we'll definitely return since there's still lots for us to see.

It looks promising in the photos, but the place feels seriously under-managed. The setting is very isolated, and the restaurant only runs on weekends. On other days, there are only cold dishes. The pool is open to paying members of the public, which is a big no-no.

Alberto has renovated Ca Maggio farmhouse with real care. It's nestled in the foothills a few kilometers from San Marino, and everything is furnished with taste and grace. The comfortable beds have cotton sheets with crochet trim, the towels are soft and scented, and the rooms and shared spaces are meticulously clean. There's a lovely saltwater pool and a truly excellent restaurant serving traditional food, often made with produce from the farm. They also have a truffle field. We recommend the crescent-shaped pasta filled with cheese and topped with truffle. Alberto is an impeccable host. Highly recommended!
