Livingapple

Livingapple was a lovely spot for taking it easy, with mountain views and a great terrace. The apartment was neat and already had what we needed. It suited a stay with family or friends very well. Most of all, we appreciated the owners. They were warm, genuine people and were always ready to help when something came up. We’d happily recommend Livingapple as a pretty place to spend some relaxing time.

The apartment has a lovely view and plenty of space, plus a washing machine, towels, and a good kitchen. The host collected us from the station at arrival and took us back there at the end. Still, there are some things future renters should know. The Wi-Fi was unreliable. It struggled with more than one device, and sometimes didn’t reach the main bedroom. When I mentioned it, the host said she was surprised I hadn’t noticed earlier. There’s just one TV, in the living room, with Italian channels only and no way to connect to Netflix or other streaming services. Winter was uncomfortable too. The apartment was very cold, and even with all three heaters turned up fully, the room didn’t get to 16°C. I told the host I was cold; she said that seemed impossible and responded poorly, though she did bring me a portable heater. Also, gas, electricity, and water are charged according to use and aren’t included in the rental price. That detail is in the listing, but adding those bills to the rent brought my total to 50 euros a night. I was there in February and needed heat every day, so at that cost I’d rather stay in a nice city.

The managers were so helpful when we needed them. Our fridge stopped working and they replaced it within minutes. They also lent us a spare phone after ours broke and gave us a pass for free parking. The place itself is quiet, with lovely views from the windows and lots of room: large bedrooms, a huge living room, air conditioning, a terrace, garden, barbecue, and patio. The furniture is modern and looked recently bought. There’s also a lovely kids’ area in the condo and some woods to explore. It’s up in the hills, about five minutes from the beaches and a large mall, 15 minutes from Gaeta, and not far from the highway. A great choice for a long holiday.

I've come back for a second stay, which says a lot about how much I like the owners. They’re really nice, and the apartment has everything you could need, plus a bit more. The grounds are beautifully kept and green, and there’s now a swimming pool. You’ll need a car since the house is a little way out of the center. I recommend it.
