A good base, though it’s about 25 minutes from central Modena. The modern rooms are tastefully decorated, very clean, and comfortable, and the woman at reception was polite and helpful. I’d have given it five stars if breakfast were available at the hotel. Nearby cafés are an option, but having breakfast there would be easier on a work trip, and the lack of it would put me off returning. Reception is only open limited hours, too. The WiFi asked me to sign in with a social media account, so I chose not to use it.

The receptionist was really friendly, and my room was very clean. The building has had a nice recent renovation.

I was unsure about self check-in since I’d never stayed somewhere without reception around the clock, but the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The new rooms were spotless, and the location worked very well for me, close to Policlinico Hospital. The price was reasonable. There’s free reserved indoor parking when a space is available, or paid parking in the garage. Highly recommended.

A top-notch B&B, with quiet, stylish rooms that are both functional and well designed. It was exceptionally clean and had all the modern comforts, plus parking.
