Antonio, the owner, was so pleasant. The rooms were easily the best we had on the trip, with big windows opening onto a balcony and a lovely view. There’s a real step back in time here, with high ceilings, large rooms, and a big bed. Just be aware of the formidable flight of stairs at the bottom, which may put off older or less mobile travelers.

Our room, number 10, had a breathtaking view, and staying here felt like a genuine Italian experience. The owner and manager was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel description is right about the 88 steps to the entrance, so consider that when bringing luggage or strollers.

The location and stunning view made for a lovely romantic holiday in Modica. Antonio, the owner, was courteous throughout. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Relais and I’ll definitely return soon.

Antonio was a pleasure to meet, spoke excellent French, and gave us useful advice. My colleagues and I were in Modica for work, and he did everything he could to make us comfortable. The hotel is in the center, close to shops and restaurants. Our rooms were beautiful, clean, and well equipped, and the view was stunning by day and night.

The property is welcoming and well kept, fitting naturally into Modica’s historic setting. Rooms are quiet, clean, and tastefully furnished. It’s an easy place to feel at home, with an atmosphere that feels distinctly Modica. I’d recommend it for a business trip or a romantic getaway.
