The owner was very helpful and friendly, and although they weren't fluent in English, Mario Daraguza offered to pick me up somewhere in town and guide me to the property. They also booked a great nearby Pizzaria Restaurant for me. A lovely experience, and I strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Modica. The house itself was a new kind of stay for me, built into the mountain rock. It has two bedrooms, one bathroom that was unexpectedly beautiful, and a small kitchen, and I really enjoyed being there. The downside is that Il Vicolltto is up a steep hill and can't be reached directly by car. If you're driving, you have to leave the car on the roadside and carry your things uphill, which is unpleasant with big luggage. I packed in my backpack and left my suitcase in the car.
