La Casa di Giada

Giada treats her guests like family. She greeted us with such warmth and left fresh fruit, wonderful pastries and desserts in the fridge, plus water, juice, limoncello, and homemade granita. The house itself is a gem on a quiet alley just off Modica’s main street. Tastefully decorated, spotless, and fully equipped, it has practically everything you could want for a holiday. Google should let us give Giada’s house a sixth star.

We spent three nights here, just a few steps from the center of Modica Bassa. Though small, the accommodation has everything you need and is kept in immaculate condition. Nothing feels old or recycled, and there are thoughtful details throughout that show how much Giada cares about her guests. We also appreciated the sweet gift, a Modica specialty. Recommended.

Giada was friendly and helpful, and even let us have a late checkout at no extra charge after our one-night stay in April, which is rare. The house is only a few meters from the start of Corso Umberto and has what you need for a short visit or a longer stay.

The lower floor of Casa di Giada is a separate apartment, small but very pretty and furnished with everything in a pleasant way. It sits between the train station and the tourist center of the lower town, so you can get around on foot. The hostess is incredibly friendly and works hard to make the stay memorable. I only wish she spoke a little more slowly so I could understand everything :D
