The house is cozy and dog- and child-friendly, with a pool and beautiful, wonderfully quiet scenery. It was great for a week or two of rest, but there's not much else to do unless you're willing to drive for a couple of hours. We spent two weeks there and found Modigliana really disappointing. We either stayed by the pool or drove at least half an hour to other towns. The town had just one proper grocery store, one ice cream shop, one somewhat decent café, one good lunch restaurant, and one good dinner spot. For Italy, that's not many choices, and we hadn't come across such limited options in other regions of the country.

The house had everything we needed, and even the sofa bed in the lower apartment was comfortable. Wi-Fi was sometimes a little weak inside, but that wasn't a big deal on vacation. In summer, though, bring plenty to protect yourself from mosquitoes and flies. We booked two of the villa's three apartments as a large group of girls. The pool was great for relaxing, the kitchen had room for us to cook together, and the lawn was perfect for morning yoga and sports. We also got a lot of use out of the table tennis table. The location and view were fantastic, with a small restaurant nearby. In the charming village of Modigliana, we could buy everything we needed and get delicious ice cream. We were there for the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend in Imola and didn't get to enjoy the farm much, but had a great time. Le Rose is a wonderful, quiet, welcoming place, surrounded by nature with spectacular views. In the morning, hares play peacefully near the house, which was beautiful to see. Highly recommended, and many thanks to Teresa.
