This happened to me more than once, which is why I'm so angry and disappointed. I booked and got confirmation two weeks before the deadline, then with just 3 days to go, the owners contacted me to say the room wasn't available anymore.

The room is spacious, but the air conditioning barely cools, the toilet won't flush properly, and the shower has a weak flow. There aren't any hooks for towels or a full-length mirror either. The towels looked like they'd been tossed in a hurry, and the toilet paper was left on the dirty laundry bin instead of where it belongs. I'd also move the bathroom cleaners away from beside the toilet. They make the place feel poorly kept and too much like someone's home. The managers knew we were there but still arrived late. They didn't apologize and seemed to want us out of their way. At €80 a night in Modugno, with these amenities, the place needs a rethink.

I haven't stayed here, but I'm concerned by what the reviews say. Mrs. Lella is not the owner, and she is not Mr. Lorenzo's wife at the airport. She's a braggart with an insane title and has been reported for impersonation, among other things. To be clear, Lorenzo is still in a relationship with lawyer Annunziata De Santis, and they still live together. All the reviews will be brought to the competent authorities, and a criminal complaint will be filed.

For a week, my students and I stayed in the apartment, which was comfortable, newly furnished, and really welcoming. Mrs. Lella and Lorenzo, the owners, were always on hand and attentive throughout our stay. We'd definitely come back. Highly recommended.
