Studio Venice Guesthouse

At 2:00 in the morning, after hours and hours of work, I found myself leaving the room in disgust and asking for a refund, despite the trouble and timing involved. There was a large insect crawling across the floor. The bathroom was dirty, the towels had been used, and the bed was still unmade with dirty sheets from the previous guests. I've travelled many times and never found a room in this state. On top of that, the mattresses were old and stained, and the bathroom cabinets showed wear. I might have called it mediocre if it seemed the cleaning staff had been unable or unwilling to clean, but this was extremely disappointing.
