The apartment block had no roof, and management never communicated with us. They also misled us about breakfast. The place was overpriced and terrible.

The area was peaceful, the rooms were spacious, and the gardens were thoughtfully laid out. The food was great too.

We stopped in for dinner and were really taken with the place, tucked among vineyards and citrus groves. The food made good use of excellent local produce, and we enjoyed pairing the onion, chili pepper, and bergamot compotes with cheeses from our selection. Everything was very well maintained, and the service was excellent. You can buy some local products there as well.

It was so peaceful and idyllic just outside Monasterace Marina, and the donkeys on the property were adorable. The villas sit at the top of a hill, with sensational views of the sea on one side and the hinterland on the other. Our room was modern and very spacious, with its own refrigerator. They grow grapes and olives themselves, and sell homemade citrus marmalade.
