Bricco Torricella

The setting among the vineyards is magnificent, and it’s quiet, with a very nice pool, table tennis and fairly new equipment. Wi-Fi was slow, but acceptable for this location. The place was clean, though not spotless inside, with dust and spider webs. The host only speaks Italian and didn’t understand other languages, and there was no explanation of the facilities when we arrived, so we had to work everything out ourselves. We weren’t told in advance about extra charges. A broken drinking glass cost €5, and using the washing machine was €5 each time. I don’t mind paying for things like that, but the costs weren’t listed in any house rules, which didn’t exist, and were only mentioned afterward. Several websites said the apartment had air conditioning, but it didn’t. There was a large fan in the living room, and luckily the temperature was still okay during our late August stay. Only two of the six windows had mosquito screens, and there were no toys or play area for children.
