We really enjoyed dinner and breakfast, and the Orogiallo was fabulous. We tried half a bottle. The hosts were wonderful, the staff were lovely people, and their very sweet dog made the place feel welcoming. It’s a handy stop near the highway, with a nice setting. The room felt dark and closed in, though, so I wouldn’t want to stay longer than a night unless we could get one with a view and natural light. Otherwise, five stars.

The rooms are small and have no air conditioning, which made them feel a little oppressive. The hosts were lovely, and the surroundings are beautiful. The food is local and well cooked, but the meals are set in advance, so give them notice if you have any special dietary requirements.

We were disappointed by the food, which wasn’t particularly good, and the wine was truly awful. That’s a letdown when you’re staying overnight at a winery. The price didn’t feel justified by the quality either. It was also a shame that the pool was closed, and during the day we couldn’t find any staff around to answer our questions.
