The accommodation was very good, and it’s right by the cliff and close to downtown.

Really great.

The bathroom was especially awful: it reeked, and its transparent glass door offered no privacy at all. There were no windows to air out the room, and the only option was opening the front door from inside. The place was damp enough that the sheets felt wet, and the air was so bad I could barely breathe. On top of that, we found flies and slugs, and killed three cockroaches in a single night. The host didn't accept responsibility. He said there were lots of cockroaches in the historic center, and that he'd never heard complaints about the humidity. Given how hard it was to breathe, I can't believe nobody had noticed before. Nothing about our stay was good. I wouldn't return or recommend it, and I'd tell anyone considering it to stay away.

We booked the basement apartment for several nights. It looked lovely at first, but opening the door brought a strong, unpleasant smell and damp air. We hoped the air conditioning would clear it, but after one night we had trouble breathing, everything felt wet, and we had to leave. It was probably mold. The landlord showed no understanding, and we still had to pay the full amount. This cost us an extra €1000. I’m writing this to warn others against booking it. I also wouldn't trust that the Booking reviews are genuine. Thanks for nothing. 👎
