Casetta San Domenico apartment

The apartment feels cosy and has a cellar-like coolness that could be especially welcome in summer, though it also has air conditioning. When it was 10-15 degrees outside, it felt a bit chilly indoors, especially in the bathroom, which has no heater. The bathroom corners are rounded, so anyone over 175 cm needs to mind their head. There's an extractor fan, and we noticed some plaster peeling from the damp, but there was no smell of mold. The location is tucked away on a dead-end street in the Old Town. The train station is a 10-15 minute walk, and there's a small shop five minutes away, with Despar about ten minutes on foot. The lady hosting us was lovely and helpful. She speaks a little English, but we communicated perfectly well using a translator. The accommodation was clean, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. Towels, a hairdryer, and a clothes dryer were provided. We were also given a very tasty bottle of wine for free. The bedroom has a large double bed, a single bed, and a cot; in the kitchen-living room there's a sofa bed for two.

Parking was easier than I expected for a place in the center, with plenty of spaces marked by white lines. Mrs. Carla manages the clean house and was kind and always available. It has what you need if you'd like to cook and eat at home. An excellent choice in Monopoli.
