A nightmare. There were cockroaches in the kitchen, and the only way up to the bedroom was a DIY elevator. There’s no way to contact anyone if it gets stuck or something else goes wrong, and there’s no other escape route in case of fire. The upstairs bedroom area has a lot of wood, and there were no fire extinguishers, despite the latest regulations requiring them. After I reported it to Booking, the host kept messaging me on WhatsApp. Air conditioning costs extra and is only available upstairs. TERRIFYING!!!

There’s nothing suite-like about this place beyond its name. For €90, forget it. The house was unbearably hot, and getting up to the gloomy bedroom was scary. There was a freight elevator, which was disgraceful. The bed was so uncomfortable and the room so awful that I didn’t sleep a wink. The price just didn’t match what was offered.

The place is comfortable and has all the amenities. The house is laid out over two levels. The owner, Tommaso, is available at any time, and the sea is just a few metres away.

The staff were kind and competent, and the hospitality was excellent. The property is right in the historic centre of Monopoli.
