Up on a hill near Montalcino, with lovely surroundings and a helpful owner. A perfect escape.

The silence and the view are priceless. You could happily spend all day here, though it’s also a handy base for the beautiful nearby towns, just over half an hour by car. The farmhouse itself is incredible, built of stone, terracotta, and wood on a hill, with a magnificent 360-degree view over Montalcino and the Crete Senesi. Olive trees, cypresses, and Guyot vineyards surround it. Mara, the owner, is always available, and makes simple, authentic sweet breakfasts with homemade products. A dream place. Mara is such a lovely person. She really makes you feel at home and checks carefully that everything is going well during your stay. The place is rural, but the attention to hygiene, explanations, and labels on all the items is five-star hotel level. Everything is looked after with so much care. Every day Mara asked if we wanted the things she makes for breakfast, and wow, the cookies, yogurts, and juices were delicious! And the setting? A hill in the middle of Tuscany, with unreal beauty and very quick access to the road leading to the towns. I wish I could come back with my family, visit Mara, and spend more wonderful days there. I’d give it even more stars if I could. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking to get away from everything and be surrounded by nature, this is the place. The 360-degree view is spectacular, and Mara is welcoming and helpful. She serves homemade breakfast treats, including delicious juices, yogurt, and cookies.
