Sonia was an amazing guide on the winery tour. She made the history of the winery and the different wines they produce both educational and entertaining. The property is beautiful, too, and a lovely setting for drinking delicious wine. This was definitely one of our better winery tours in Tuscany. I think we tasted five or six wines, all good; as you’d expect in Tuscany, they were robust and flavorful. It’s worth a visit if you love wine. Just know there’s no food, only some crackers for the tasting.

The wine and countryside were wonderful, and Sonia and Sofia made our visit especially memorable. As we were leaving at closing time, our car started having trouble and we thought we might be stranded for the night. They called mechanics and taxis, brought us water, and checked back on us afterward. We had come just for the tour and tasting, and both were great. If you’re thinking about stopping by, go for it.

The property is impressive, and the tasting was well worth the visit. Sofia guided us; she hasn’t been in the wine business long, but she’s clearly passionate about learning and is a wonderful host. My wife works in the industry, so we’ve done plenty of tastings, and Sofia’s warmth, character, and hospitality really stood out. We already knew about the Brunello, perhaps the Super Toscana, and the very good house red, so the personal welcome made the experience.

We came just for a tasting, and the winery itself was beautiful. Sofia was a fantastic guide. I’d happily return.
