La Locanda di Montisi

Matteo was the highlight for us, so kind and ready to help. The Locanda is a welcoming, charming B&B, with a decent-sized, well-appointed room and spotless sheets and towels. Breakfast was generous, varied, and generally excellent. Montisi is a wonderful village, and staying at the Locanda is a great choice.

We spent a couple of days in Montisi during the Easter holidays, and Matteo at reception made us feel comfortable and cared for with his friendly, professional manner. The Locanda’s service was attentive and well organized, and the charming, well-kept rooms were matched by an excellent buffet of sweet and savory breakfast options. We had a wonderful stay in every respect. This small B&B is well worth it, and we highly recommend it. We’ll definitely be back!

The rooms have a lovely Tuscan look, simple but carefully maintained and refined, and breakfast is plentiful and delicious, with homemade cakes and treats. On our last visit I especially enjoyed the relaxing music Caterina played at breakfast. We first found Locanda di Montisi three years ago, and it’s now a regular stop on our Tuscan holidays. The owners at first, and Caterina now, have all been wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Their simple way of welcoming guests, together with the calm of this remote, enchanting village, makes us feel at home and appreciate life’s little things. We’ll be back in August and can’t wait.

The rooms are cute, romantic, and stylish, which makes the lack of heating beforehand a shame. On a cold, damp day, ours took half a day to get warm enough to live in. There was also no bidet or even a shower beside the toilet, which is a serious issue.
