We only stayed two nights and wished we’d booked longer. This was the best hospitality we experienced in two weeks in Italy, maybe even across Europe. The rooms were clean and comfortable, everything worked, and the agriturismo sits about 11 minutes from Montalcino among beautiful fields, vineyards, and olive trees. Sunset views were especially peaceful and stunning. The staff were so kind and caring, they made us feel as if we’d known them for years. Special thanks to Vito, who went above and beyond to help with personal matters we had to handle in Italy. We also got useful suggestions for nearby places to visit and things to do. We loved learning about their excellent olive oil collection. The place feels like the heart of Tuscany, peaceful, beautiful, and full of genuine hospitality. Highly recommended.

The grounds were so peaceful, with quiet places to enjoy the Tuscan countryside, a tennis court, and a gorgeous pool. We also relaxed in the spa, which has a steam room, dry sauna, and hot tub, with tea and water available. Our room had stunning sunsets right outside the window, a huge king bed with lovely bedding, and a bathroom with a soaking tub, shower, towel warmer, robes, and slippers. Every detail seemed thought through, and we felt lucky to be there. The food was some of the best we had. The chef was incredible, and the complimentary breakfast was the best of our three-week Italy trip, with flaky but soft croissants, fresh eggs, yogurt, cheeses, meats, fruit, juice, and coffee each morning. Sara’s breakfast service was excellent. She was sweet, knew the area, and gave us great tips on nearby places to explore. Vitto served us an incredible Florentine steak dinner in the evening, and both the meal and service were divine.

Our four days at Podere Brizio flew by, and I’d definitely return. They produce Brunello di Montalcino and olive oil, and the property is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We didn’t get time to try the tennis courts or spa, and April was too cold for the pool. Vito helped us with everything, Sara was friendly and attentive at breakfast, and Mohan was very helpful too. Breakfast was always good, and the dinners were excellent. We loved the food, wine, ambience, and service.

When I first saw the Expedia photos, I wasn’t impressed and thought it might be just another old building. Arriving changed my mind completely. The place is elegant and thoughtfully designed, and the photos don’t do it justice. From the décor to the bathroom floor tiles, the details are beautiful. The rooms have modern technology, which made the stay comfortable and up to date. The manager and staff put a lot of care into everything and clearly aim for perfection. I can’t recommend this hotel enough for a Tuscany visit.

Vito was a wonderful host, and I’d absolutely stay for dinner. The food was some of the most delicious I’ve ever had. Their vineyard wine was fantastic too. After leaving, we traveled around Tuscany and found Brunello Montalcino served in lots of restaurants across Italy, which shows how good it is.
