Borgo S.Maria Di Vulci

The pool area was spotless, with loungers, tables and umbrellas set out on a lovely lawn. We had a wonderful weekend here. The apartments are a real gem, with mezzanines and clever use of every bit of space, and the whole place is well cared for. Giorgio was especially welcoming and always ready to help. He made us feel like part of the family. Thanks, Giorgio. We hope to come back soon, and would recommend the place for either a short or longer stay.

The pool, built recently, was a real help with the kids. We also really enjoyed the restaurant, with fresh ingredients and a particularly charming atmosphere in the evening. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and Giorgio is a lovely host. The rooms get four stars from me because they're on the roof and have air conditioning, which they really need to avoid becoming ovens. Do check that the kitchen utensils are clean. Highly recommended.

The garden has a lovely boho feel, with cushions, lights and bright touches of color. At night, the stars are beautiful. There are two play areas for children, which makes this a great choice for families. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, with a relaxed, cozy feel, and Giorgio's warm welcome made the stay even nicer. The restaurant is excellent too, with tasty food, an open kitchen and seating both indoors and outside. Everyone was helpful and courteous from booking through checkout. A well-earned five stars. We'll be back.

The owner is very chatty, kind and helpful, and the lawn is nicely kept. It's a quiet, pleasant place, and the apartment is simple and cute, with free Wi-Fi and a small TV. It felt dark in the evening even with the lights on. The bathroom had a strong smell, perhaps because it has no window and ventilation is an issue. Breakfast was a letdown: I expected more from a residence with a restaurant, but it was supermarket packaged food. I was also surprised by the selfie with the owner. My apartment was near the restaurant, where noise continued late into the night.
