The couple running this family B&B were warm and helpful, and made the stay feel a bit like being with family without crowding us. It’s in a small village near Chivasso, around half an hour from Turin. I didn’t see much of the area, though. Breakfast was good quality, and I would have liked a larger spread, especially with homemade cake.

We slept really well in the comfortable bed, and the apartment was quiet. It was also spotless and lovely, with a very kind owner who brought us a tasty homemade tart for breakfast. Turin is about half an hour away, so the location worked well. The best!!!
I wouldn’t recommend this place after a terrible stay. The room layout didn’t work well, and although checkout was at 10:00 AM, I had to leave the room earlier. If that happens again, I’ll stay somewhere else.
The host was extremely kind, and we had the whole place to ourselves with plenty of room. The building is her parents’ former home, renovated into a B&B after they passed away. One thing to watch: Google Maps may take you to the wrong doorway. You can park and enter at via Silvio Pellico 1. Getting around was inconvenient. Montanaro is a very small town with little to do, and it isn’t especially close to Turin. Privacy was limited too: the owner wasn’t there all day, the bedroom door had no lock, and someone could theoretically enter through the back door. For breakfast, she asked what we wanted without giving a proper list, which left us unsure what to ask for. We ended up having her very good tart, but the tea and coffee were in dirty thermoses with limescale floating in them. The kitchen also had no pots or other utensils to use.
The house itself is clean, attractive, and welcoming, but I’d strongly advise against staying longer than a night. There’s no privacy: the owner has a key to the back door and came in without warning to say something or bring breakfast in the morning, which felt extremely rude. The kitchen can’t really be used because it has no equipment, including pots and pans. Even the refrigerator isn’t available for general use, since the owner only permits drinks to be stored there, even when asked.
