Hotel Alessandra

Breakfast is wonderful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful while we were there. The rooms are big and clean, and you can't beat the location in Florence. There are some steps before the small elevator that goes to the lobby. That wasn't a problem for us, though it might be for someone with mobility issues.

The room was just right for us, and the staff were great. The location is perfect, and we had no noise in the morning, at night or during the day. There is a slight smell in the room, perhaps because the drains don't have P-traps, but it was a very minor issue. The elevators are small, and stairs are needed to reach them; they only save you one floor, though they can still help. I'd absolutely stay here again.

The location is excellent, and the staff were always smiling, friendly and ready to help. Our room was clean and had enough space to set down our luggage without feeling crowded like in some other places. You can take the stairs to the check-in desk or climb some stairs to the tiny lift first.

Monte and the rest of the staff were so pleasant and welcoming. They made us feel at home, offered great dining and shopping suggestions, and were happy to call and book restaurants or other things. We chose a superior room with a lovely river view, and it was spacious and nicely furnished. You can also have a bottle of wine waiting in your room at check-in. Breakfast was generous, well prepared and offered a good range of choices. The location is amazing for the Uffizi, Academie, Galileo Museum, Ponte Vecchio and more. As others have mentioned, you have to carry your bags up two flights of stairs before reaching the small elevator, but being so close to everything made that worthwhile.
