Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo

The hotel is right beside The Duomo Cathedral in the heart of the old town, so you’re as close as you can get to the main sights. It’s a historic, artistic building, and we loved its beautiful character. Our room was spacious, elegant, clean and comfortable. The staff were attentive, lovely and professional, and couldn’t have done more for us. Breakfast was delicious, especially the very good coffee. We loved our stay and will definitely return. We were really pleased with Palazzo Niccolini Al Duomo. Our large rooms were spotless, and the hotel is right by the Cathedral. The Breakfast Lady was very nice, and the front desk staff, housekeepers and valets were all friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

We stayed four nights in late September 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were spectacular, with original frescoes on the walls or ceilings and views of Il Duomo. Service was warm, hospitable and very attentive. Breakfast was included, with delicious food and plenty of choices for every palate. This historic, sumptuous hotel is beautifully located. We highly recommend it, five stars for us!

The breakfast here has spoiled me for anywhere else. There was a great mix of hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit, cakes, pastries and high-quality cheeses. You can even boil an egg just how you like it, and it’s all served in a magnificent room that feels like a museum or a king’s reception. We had a toddler with us, and the staff were so thoughtful about our time that they let us go straight to the room on arrival without filling in any documents. The room was spotless and wonderfully cool. During the heat wave in Italy, it was a pleasure to come back to it every few hours. They were very kid-friendly too, with a toddler bed and highchair. There wasn’t a changing area in the bathroom by reception, but the receptionist kindly cleared the table in there for us to use. I loved that kindness. Even during the busiest period, the hotel never felt crowded. It was a happy accident that we first stayed at Palazzo Niccolini for a night a few years ago. I’ve wanted to return ever since, especially with my mom. I can’t thank you enough for the stay. I hope we’ll be back more than once.
