The 50-minute private spa session was a highlight, with a sauna, steam bath, whirlpools and loungers. The main building also has a lovely lounge and a beautifully furnished breakfast room, and breakfast was varied and high quality. We stayed three nights at Palazzo Lorenzo. Our Deluxe booking was in the Seventy House, the simpler of the two buildings. The room was clean, but didn’t feel deluxe, and its narrow bathroom had very little counter space. Secure courtyard parking was handy, though it cost 25 euros a day. We’ve often found parking free at other Tuscan hotels. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the Duomo. That distance was fine for us, but there aren’t many cafés, bars or restaurants nearby, and the hotel serves breakfast only. Palazzo Lorenzo is stylish and pleasant, though our room in the Seventy House fell short of the Deluxe standard we expected.

We found a great pasta place close by, and the main sights were still within walking distance. The neighborhood itself was calm and away from the tourist crowds. The hotel felt elegant and quiet, and the peaceful, beautifully designed spa made it an especially relaxing place to stay. The front desk team were incredibly friendly and helpful, and very handsome too 😄. They made the visit even nicer. We’d definitely come back.

The front desk team went out of their way to help me get an item of left luggage returned. Many thanks to Alessandro and the other staff there. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel in a peaceful part of Florence, about a 15-20 minute walk from the busy city centre. I’d highly recommend it.

Alessandro at the front desk sorted out the Netflix logout problem for us after we’d streamed music. We loved the spa so much that we booked another session. Bring your bathing suits and reserve ahead so you can make the most of your time there. It was really fun. The hotel also has a wonderfully quiet feel and a superb breakfast.
