Golden Tower Hotel & Spa

Amanda, Chiara, and Daniele deserve special thanks for helping us find luggage we’d accidentally left on the train from Venice. They were remarkably helpful. From the start, Amanda and Maria Chiara at the Front Desk greeted us warmly, took a real interest in our comfort, and made sure our bags were safely stored while the rooms were being prepared. The hotel is beautifully maintained in the former primary residence of the 15th century Florentine Strozzi family. We loved the comfortable rooms, the magnificent breakfast buffet, and the Florentine architecture, especially in the breakfast and bar area. It’s also very close to places of interest. We based our decision on past Google reviews, which turned out to be accurate. A memorable stay, and we’d choose this hotel again and recommend it.

The room felt spacious by European standards, with a very comfortable bed, nice towels, a useful seating area, and a roomy, luxurious bathroom. The hotel is spotless, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, and it stayed impressively quiet despite its central location. Shops and great restaurants are close by, and breakfast each morning was delicious, with plenty of choice and excellent service. The staff made our stay. They sat down with us on arrival to explain the hotel, its amenities, and Florence recommendations. The front desk team were wonderful throughout, especially Amanda, who was attentive and kind. She even lent me her charger. They also took extra time to help us figure out driving in Florence, which can be stressful for visitors. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when I return.

A month ago I spent some unforgettable days here. The location was great, but what really made the stay was the staff and their attention to detail. Everyone from reception to the restaurant and bar team was so friendly and welcoming. For my birthday, they congratulated me first thing in the morning and surprised me with dessert, which made my day. The spa therapists also did a wonderful job easing the tiredness from long walks around Florence. I can’t wait to come back.

The staff are what make this lovely hotel so special. We adored every one of them, and they turned our trip around after it started with lost luggage. The location is perfect for getting everywhere. Highly recommend staying here!
