Numa Florence Palazzo Haggis

Alex & Anna were so thoughtful and kind that we felt really looked after. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a full sized walk in closet and a massive bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, and they even offered an earlier meal on the day our tour meant we had to leave by 7 am. We hand washed a few clothes and left them on a drying rack in the room. Anna noticed and had them tumble dried and folded by the time we came back that day. Such a kind gesture. We loved our stay at Haggi’s and would come back to Florence and stay here again.

The AC did NOT WORK during our June stay. Nights were cool, around 66, but daytime temperatures were 89+ and the room was hot. They came to “fix” it, but the problem remained. If you need an air conditioned room, look elsewhere. Hospitality felt very hands off. You don’t actually speak with anyone, it all goes through WhatsApp and their website. It seemed like some random corporate company bought the hotel and put its brand on it, leaving out two bottles of water and some shower products.

Alex and Anna made our stay. They greeted us each morning with a smile and got us started on the right foot. The rooms were clean, and the breakfasts were top notch. It’s in a wonderful spot, about a three minute walk from the Duomo, but tucked along a quiet street. I highly recommend it and hope I can come back.

Alex and Anna were friendly, attentive hosts who made it feel like we were staying with family. The building and room were stunning and better than we expected, with classic Italian country-style decor, beautiful furniture, and high ceilings. Breakfast was delicious, with coffee and eggs made to order plus cold cuts, cheeses, yoghurts, and fruit. They also let us keep the room for a few extra hours to store our luggage, which helped a lot. We’ll be back!
