Hotel Bella Firenze

The location was handy, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. There was no elevator, the sheets were stained, and the room smelled of cigarettes. Noise came through constantly because there was almost no sound insulation. Most uncomfortable of all, the cleaning lady came into our room even though I asked her twice not to. That was completely at odds with the privacy I'd expect.

It's right by the train station, in what didn't seem like the nicest part of town. Expedia gives it an 8.4, but it didn't feel deserving of that rating, perhaps it was better a few years back. There's no elevator, and although the front desk lady helped us with our heavy bags, carrying them up three floors wasn't great.

The staff were kind and helpful, but the rest of the place was awful. It was dirty, old, and smelled bad, and there was no elevator, so we had to haul our luggage up to the third floor. €190 for one Monday night was absurd for those conditions. Not worth the price at all.

I expected better, especially after the parking issue. The hotel has no parking, so they gave me the address of a private lot and promised it would cost €30 per day. When I went to pay, they charged me €72 a day. Reception then acted as though they knew nothing about the arrangement. If you're travelling by car, don't trust them. I had a negative experience because they promised one thing and expected another. People without a car might have a different stay.
