I’d avoid the restaurant. The food comes in small portions for prices that seem way out of place for a pilgrimage house. The room itself looks like a mess hall, which would make sense in that setting, but the comparison stops there. Paying 9 EUR for a plain piece of fried cheese, or 4 EUR for three paper-thin grilled zucchini slices, feels like a joke.

I left money there and regretted it. The food wasn’t great, and the pasta cost 10 euro even though the portion looked like something from the kids’ menu. The cheese was 10 euro too, for one thin slice. Pathetic.

The hotel may be fine, I can only speak about the restaurant. Portions were small and the food was mediocre for the prices, plus there’s a required service charge of 2€ per person. The service itself was just so-so. Left me angry.

The staff were wonderfully friendly and patient with us, even though we only know a little Italian. The location is very good. Just keep in mind this isn’t a five-star hotel with every facility you could want. Breakfast is included but quite basic, which makes sense for the price. You can get eggs for a very affordable extra charge. This was our first 'Pellegrino hotel', and it pleasantly surprised us. Highly recommend it.
