Antica Dimora Patrizia

We spent a week at Antica Dimora Patrizia and loved the beautiful rooms and delicious breakfasts, really, everything about it. Francesca and Flavio made us feel warmly welcome and were so helpful. Montecarlo is a lovely village, with plenty of restaurants you can reach on foot from the hotel. Highly recommend.

Antico Dimora Patrizia’s location made it easy to explore the city, and I can’t wait to return. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied. With the accommodations and exceptional service, my recent stay was unforgettable. Highly recommended.

We stayed for three nights at Antica Dimora Patrizia in Montecarlo, in a historic 1300s building full of lovely decorations and Tuscan charm. Francesca owns and runs the B&B, and she made our stay exceptionally special. After a mechanical problem left our originally booked hotel in a neighboring town without air conditioning or cold water, we found Antica Dimora Patrizia online. It was nearly 11 pm, but Francesca kindly welcomed us into her safe, cozy space. She shared loads of useful local knowledge, including how best to get to Florence and where to park, and suggested Tuscan towns to visit. Her recommendations led to wonderful day trips around Lucca and Vinci, some of the highlights of our trip. She was attentive to every detail and made sure we had what we needed. When one of us felt unwell with a cold, she brought beautifully prepared tea with lemon and cookies to our room. She even asked her chef to make a hearty Tuscan soup and delicious, soothing Tiramisu. We highly recommend this lovely B&B to anyone staying under the Tuscan sun!

We were lucky to be there for Francesca's new Chef's grand arrival, when there was an open house with plenty of delicious finger food and local reds to savor. We also had two dinners there, one made by Francesca and the other by her new Chef. Our two breakfasts were delicious and delightful, with cakes, quiches, cereals, meats and cheeses, juice, and, of course, cappuccino. Francesca was a welcoming, informative, and charming host. Her B &B is in the cozy little Medievil town of Montecarlo, known for its smaller Tuscan wine producers, fortress, 17th century theatre, and 800 year old oak tree. It’s said that wood from the tree was used to make Pinocchio's magical nose 😎. Our room was comfortable for us and our lovable canine, and the ambiance was first rate, though there were a lot of stairs up to our nicely appointed room. Needless to say, we had a wonderful stay.
