The hills and natural sounds make the setting really relaxing. Our room was spacious and had a small fridge. Meals are served through the restaurant, and the food was decent for the price.

There are plenty of chances to walk among the vineyards and olive groves, with a medieval village nearby. It's a great spot for a quiet break in authentic Tuscany, and Pinocchio's oak tree is a short distance away. Lucca, Pistoia, Pisa, Montecatini, Pescia, and Collodi are all within reach.

The owners are the real highlight for me: so friendly and welcoming. The place is quiet, with greenery all around, and the rooms are lovely and spacious. I especially liked the fantastic bathtub. It's also close to plenty of places to visit, including Lucca, Pisa, the Certosa di Calci museum, which I recommend, and the Grotta del Vento.

A peaceful place to spend a few days surrounded by nature, with spacious rooms and easy access to several Tuscan sights. There's no breakfast available, so you'll need to go to Montecarlo village for that. The restaurant does open for dinner.
