After long, hot days out, it was great to come back to cool rooms. They were cleaned every day, with the beds made, rubbish removed, towels changed and bathrooms cleaned. The location was lovely, with everything close enough to walk to. The staff were very friendly and helped us with a problem. I was very happy with my stay and would return.

I found bed bugs, and the staff were, to put it mildly, rude and desperate. They insulted me, called me crazy and stupid. The place is old-fashioned and in a bad part of town.

Our dance group had 80 people, most of them children, and the hotel was a disaster. The elevator was so slow and tiny it could fit two people or just suitcases. There was a swimming pool, but we weren't allowed to use it. The shower stalls were far too narrow for a bigger person. At reception there was a 90-year-old grandma who couldn't help us with anything. On our last morning, the staff turned off the air conditioning in every room, so we got hot and wet and were left wanting to leave as soon as possible.

The elevator was tiny, just enough for one person with a small suitcase, and the area felt like some kind of ghetto. When we went outside, men followed us, recorded us and catcalled us. The staff ignored complaints and acted as if they didn't know a word of English. The hygiene was horrible and the rooms disgusting. I locked my suitcase with the code 333 before going for a walk, then came back to find it set to 554. Someone had also used the shower while I was away. There was still water in it and a strand of someone else's hair. The walls were stained and dirty, the dusty sheets smelled awful, and the towels were dirty. The food portions were extremely small too. One dinner was just ONE egg and an orange.
