Mr. Giovanni’s care and kindness really make this charming place stand out. The rooms are lovely and have everything you need, and cleanliness and order are clearly a priority throughout the village. Breakfast was excellent, with local products. It’s also well placed for visiting Umbria’s many attractions, including Eurochocolate. I highly recommend it. Places like this are rare finds and well worth discovering.

I’m giving one star because the stay didn’t happen at all. I was meant to spend a weekend using Wonderbox, but the owner canceled the day before we were due to leave, apparently because of problems with the toilet drains. We’d already postponed once after being told that the dinner included in Wonderbox wouldn’t be available that weekend. An experience I’d rather forget.

Like other users, I got no reply to my Wonderbox booking request by email or WhatsApp. When I called, they said reservations are only accepted 15 days ahead, but apparently they’re already fully booked for next month. I can’t help wondering if that happens every month. My instinct says it does.

What made the stay so special was Giovanni Bonifazi, who owns and manages the estate, and his lovely family. They welcomed me and my dog Sofì right away and took such good care of us. I spent 10 days there in mid-August. The whole property was quiet, and my room was too. It soon felt like home, with such a peaceful, serene atmosphere. There’s a lovely pool for cooling off, and breakfast was good, with healthy products. Simply the best B&B stay I’ve ever had. I can’t recommend this little paradise enough.
