Once a country palace for Macerata's aristocracy, this is now a lovely setting for a couple's big day. It also works well for weddings and other events.

A fantastic venue for events, and the rooms have been restored beautifully.

The meal was seafood from start to finish, with two pasta courses and three main courses. Everything tasted very good and wasn't too heavily seasoned, and the excellent local white wine went well with it. We celebrated outdoors, with the tables lit by lots of fairy lights overhead. There was a live band during the reception, and the church was only a few minutes away. Such a beautiful place for a wedding.

Room 7 was a great choice, with its wonderful dome and a really relaxing atmosphere. We had a lovely stay and I would gladly do it again. Breakfast was a little disappointing, though: you get one serving per person rather than a buffet. Luckily, there's a bakery-café just around the corner with amazing jam croissants.

The garden is a lovely extra, and the spaces are nicely furnished. I enjoyed this beautiful wedding venue, with impeccable service and plenty of good food, though a few dishes could be better. One drawback is the room, which is split up by too many walls.
