Fattoria Capobianco

Getting there by public transport isn’t easy, so you’ll need a car. But the area is beautiful for mountain bike rides and time relaxing in nature, and the month we spent at the farm was one of the most memorable of our lives. The three of us stayed for a month to escape the grey German winter and had an amazing time. Silvia and Michelle hosted lovely evenings where we learned to cook the Italian way and which wine to choose. Their wine was among the best we’ve ever tasted. Five stars from us. We worked remotely from the farm for four weeks, and the internet was steady enough for it. The balcony got sun all day, the pool area was great, and the golden natural wine and olive oil were wonderful. Michele and Silvia are such a lovely family and hosts. They answered every question or request within minutes, and gave us great tips for places around lago di bolsena. We rented bikes for a ride together, and Michele would have arranged a kayak for the lake if possible. I’ve never had such a great family and host to spend my time with. Can only recommend the place. We’ll be back soon!

The host family made us feel so welcome. The apartments are lovely, very clean and thoughtfully put together, set in a peaceful garden with organic vegetables and animals. A wonderful getaway.

Sharing food and conversation with the owners was the best part of our Italy trip. We also spent the day cooking, hearing about the property and the surrounding area, and sampling their phenomenal wine and limoncello. Highly recommend!
