The map pin on Google Maps is right. We spent seven days here with our toddler and chose the main house because it has two rooms, so our child could sleep separately. There’s no air conditioning, but even with temperatures above 30 degrees outside, the house stayed cool and fresh. Breakfast and dinner outdoors came with lovely views. We enjoyed sunset with pasta cooked in our own kitchen. What more could you ask for?

We kept wanting to spend the evening on the terrace, watching those breathtaking sunsets. Milco, Donato, and Vittoria were so welcoming and kind, and always ready to help. The apartments were exceptionally clean and equipped with everything we needed, with all the little details taken care of. We had a wonderful stay at La Guardata Agriturismo, and Loulou, the sweet house dog, added extra charm. We can’t wait to come back!

The sunsets and views here are magical. The hosts are warm-hearted, attentive, and quick to respond. They generously provided fresh eggs and home-grown vegetables. La Guardata feels like a home away from home, book it!

La Guardata was a lovely break from the busy cities, while still being close to a supermarket, restaurants, and beautiful towns. We were six adults and two children, aged 3 and 13, there at the beginning of May 2013. Vittoria and Roberto welcomed us so warmly that we felt like part of the family. The facilities were clean and very nice, and the owners were extremely helpful, even though they don’t speak English. We recommend eating in Marta, across the lake, visiting Bolsena and Civita di Bagnoregio, which sits on top of a hill, and stopping at Antica Cantina Leonardi in Montefiascone. They have an excellent wine selection, and it’s lovely to see the wine cellar. The beautiful views, comfortable apartments, friendly hosts, and great atmosphere all made La Guardata easy to recommend. Thank you, Roberto, Vittoria, and Milco.
