People were very kind, and the room was good, with extraordinary views over both the town and the surrounding countryside. The location is excellent, right beside one of the old entrance gates to this small ancient town. The accommodation is a bed and breakfast in an apartment on the third floor of a fascinating Liberty-style building that’s worth seeing in its own right. Just to be clear, it is not a hotel: there’s no concierge, check-in desk, room service, or support if you need it. Given all that, it’s a bit expensive.

We were walking the Via Francigena, and this was a wonderful overnight stop. I wish we could have stayed another night or two. The room was clean and spacious, and the rooftop terrace had amazing views. The owners and staff were very friendly. Downstairs there’s a bar/cafe with great aperitifs and breakfast.

The apartment was clean, with comfortable furniture, and had lots of space. There’s a full kitchen, a dining room, and a living room. It’s on a square with a coffee bar and a restaurant, and the tourist information center is across the square. The Duomo is just a five-minute walk away.

We didn’t hear any street noise, and the room was cool and clean, with comfortable beds. The black-and-white modern decor is lovely, and the bathroom was spacious and clean too. There’s a bar/Gelateria downstairs and an amazing restaurant in the Piazza, so it’s easy to find somewhere to eat nearby. The historic center is a short walk from the hotel, and the rooftop terrace has a breathtaking view of the region.

Right in the city center, this nice hotel had a very clean, spacious room with an amazing view over the piazza. We were given a very friendly welcome, and public parking is available just around the corner.
