Casa Rondini, organic farm

The hosts were so friendly and helped with everything we needed to feel at home. Casa Rondini sits in beautiful natural surroundings, and the apartment was spacious, clean, and fully equipped. There are charming villages nearby with great restaurants, and the train station is only five minutes away if you want to venture farther.

We loved how peaceful the patios and poolside were, perfect for curling up with a book. The farm is tucked into the mountains, with lovely sunrise and sunset views, and Fabro is just five minutes up the road with everything you'd need. It's also an easy drive to Orvieto, Perugia, Terni, and Assisi, though Spello was our favorite. Franco and Bozena were wonderful, kind hosts who shared lots of local tips, and every day there were fresh eggs for sale. We enjoyed the herbs and vegetables, including basil, tomatoes, garlic, lavender, and sage, and took home some of the farm's wine and olive oil. The pasta class was so much fun, as was learning to harvest and pick grapes. After a long travel day, they welcomed us with a home-cooked Italian meal and wine from the farm. The food was incredibly fresh, and our cozy rooms were clean. This is a lovely place for couples or families. The photos online don't capture how picturesque it is. We had such a restorative stay, full of stillness, good food, connection to the earth, and meeting people from all over the world. Thank you to Casa Rondini for making our time in Italy so memorable. I know I'll dream about it until I can return.

The pool is awesome, and the location makes it easy to explore Umbria and Toscany. Don't miss Franco's cooking events, they're really worth doing.

After starting our busy trip in rome, staying here gave us a chance to slow down and relax. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. We joined their cooking class, making pasta dishes alongside other guests, and had a wonderful time. I'd recommend it 100/100!
