My daughter, who’s 10, and I had the best four nights at Hotel Eliseo in Montegrotto. We meant to use it as a base for nearby cities, but the town’s charm and the hotel’s relaxing feel kept us here for three of our four days. We had a superior room on the fifth floor with a lovely view of the church opposite. There are budget rooms too, and they’re a bargain because the facilities, service, and food are outstanding. The pools are beautifully warm and well maintained, the gardens are manicured, and the new poolside bar area has really friendly, helpful staff. Montegrotto is charming, though maybe a little past its time. You can see new life slowly coming to the area. If you’re choosing between hotels, I highly recommend giving Hotel Eliseo a try.

We went in November, definitely out of season. The hotel is right in the town centre, a short 15 minute walk from the station, with good rail links to Venice, Bologna, and Rome. The rooms felt a bit dated, but at a spa you’re there for the facilities, and the service and facilities were excellent. The kitchen and chefs were excellent too. The staff were super friendly and attentive.

We were welcomed by really friendly staff, and the hotel was spotless. The garden is peaceful and lovely, and the pools have modern jets indoors and out, with more than 15 settings to work on sore muscles. Breakfast has loads to choose from, including eggs, bacon, pastries, and baked goods. You can make your own espresso, cappuccino, or macchiato, too. Our economy room looked a little dated, but it was spacious and had a balcony, toiletries, robes, and towels. We even got a parting gift. I’d happily come back. Thanks for a wonderful stay! 🤩

From the outdoor pool and restaurants, there’s a lovely view over the park and Duomo dei Santi Pietro ed Eliseo. The rooms are comfortable, with new orthopedic mattresses and pillows, and the spa area has a stylish, modern design. For a three-star hotel, it more than meets expectations. The spa looks elegant, but it isn’t especially practical or functional. I also had questions about cleanliness and sanitary standards: when the pools opened at 8:00, the area hadn’t been cleaned.
