Albergo Diffuso Borgo Montemaggiore

This is a lovely historic town, and the restaurant has rooms available too. The food is consistently excellent, with high-standard service, and even the toilets are good 🙃👏🏻. The dining room has clearly had more thought put into its decor than most places around here. It feels aimed more at adults and fine dining than at children, though kids wouldn't be unwelcome.

We spent three days here and it felt like paradise. The rural setting, birds and cicadas, pine scent, and the warm welcome from Mateo and everyone working there are things I won't forget. The apartment is in an old building with a garden, a real hidden gem. Best restaurant and hotel in the world, like a parallel reality.

The restaurant is very good, and everything around the hotel is clean and well maintained. It's a lovely little place in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The service felt both professional and exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I couldn't find anything to complain about.

Our room was in one of the village's little houses, which made it feel like stepping into the past while still having all the modern comforts. We got to stay thanks to a Smartbox gift, and it was a lovely experience with good value for money. Breakfast is served in the main building, which also houses reception and the restaurant. The frescoed rooms are beautiful, and there's a generous selection of homemade cakes and pastries. It's also a handy base for visiting the Marche area, and easy to reach.
