The host contacted me the day before I was due to arrive and asked me to cancel my Booking reservation because they could no longer provide the room. I refused. I think the manager should take responsibility for a cancellation like that. It felt unprofessional to cancel at the last minute, especially over a long holiday weekend when alternatives are hard to find and cost more. It caused inconvenience and made it harder to trust the service. After this experience, I can't consider the property reliable.

The location is excellent, and the owner is genuinely lovely, but the guesthouse only gets two stars from me. The room wasn't especially clean and the soundproofing was poor. The small TV didn't work very well, and the toilet wouldn't flush. The sink tap was hard to turn on, and there was no soap or shampoo for the shower. If you're staying on the third or fourth floor, the stairs can be a bit difficult.

The location makes it easy to get around the area, and the hospitality was excellent. The rooms are nice, though a little dated and they could be cleaner. Getting luggage up the spiral staircase is quite inconvenient.
