Room 111 was my favorite. It's the first one up the stairs, and the star ceiling made it really special. The other room was bigger and had everything needed, but felt sterile next to it. The staff were magnificent, and the location at the very top of town put me close to everything I wanted to reach. Breakfast was standard, nothing to rave about, though with such great lunch and dinner food nearby, anything else might have felt like a letdown. It's a good spot for a taxi pickup, but arrange that as early as you can.

The rooms were tiny, the fridge didn't work, and there was no hot water. The beds and pillows were awful. At least it was quiet outside after 10 pm.

A good breakfast and wine bars nearby, with very reasonable prices for the quality. The hotel is right in the center, with parking close by, and it's a convenient base for visiting the town and surrounding area. The rooms are small, but that's understandable in such an old building.

The front desk person was mediocre. My wife had walked for hours and was holding our baby, but the woman wouldn't let her use the bathroom unless we booked a room. We stayed at another hotel in town because of that. I hope she never has to ask to use a bathroom and gets refused. She should show more humanity.

The room was clean and tidy, and breakfast was great. The receptionist was so welcoming and wonderful, and helped us with directions and advice. Simply the best in Montepulciano!
