Poggio Golo

Tenuta Golo gave us such a memorable introduction to Tuscan wines. Our host Elia was welcoming, passionate, and knew every detail of the winemaking process. I’d booked a tasting at first, but called ahead and changed it to a tour, which turned out to be a great decision. It was fascinating and fun, and left us with a deeper appreciation of the winery. The wines were among the best I’ve ever had. We joined the wine club on the spot and can’t wait to share our first shipment with friends and family back home. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Elia, who also makes these wines, was a charming and knowledgeable host. He took us through the vineyard’s history and explained the aging process, then connected it to each wine we tasted. It made the tour feel special. The wines were the best I’ve had in my life, and I’m not exaggerating! We signed up for the wine club and are so excited for our first delivery. We’d go every day if we could.

Elia welcomed us so warmly at Tenuto Golo and walked us through the whole wine production process and tasting. He explained things simply and made us feel at home, like we were sharing a glass with a friend. It was a memorable visit to the vineyard. Definitely go if you’re in Montepulciano! 🍷🇮🇹

We really enjoyed supporting this small local winery. Niall was a terrific host, with lots of knowledge about growing vines, and the wines were exceptional. Hearing the background behind each one added a lot to the tasting.
