Da Vice Rooms

Fabio welcomed us so graciously, and we loved staying at the Da Vice in Monterosso. Our room was comfortable, clean, and lovely. Breakfast from Wonderland Bakery was delicious, especially the croissants. We'd stay again if we make it back to Italy.

Breakfast was delicious, with freshly made baked goods in a basket, and the host was happy to tailor it to our tastes. He also had maps and train schedules ready and gave us lots of advice on what to do during our stay. The room felt homey, with a comfortable bed, a mini fridge, and access to a coffee machine.

I booked three nights here before the Covid-19 pandemic. Hotels.com assured me that each night in Cinque Terre could be refunded. Two of the three places refunded me without question, even though I had non-refundable rates. Da Vice Rooms wouldn't respond by email or through hotels.com, and refused to refund me. I wasn't even trying to cancel, just move the dates to September. Then they changed the minimum stay from one night to two, though we could only stay one night, and offered a credit for one night to use within a year. That was useless to me, and they effectively took $300 from me. Don't stay here if your plans change, or a world pandemic breaks out. Shame on Da Vice Rooms!

We spent a few nights here with the family and would happily come back. The rooms were lovely, each with its own style. It's just off the main road, and there's a sign that's hard to miss.
