Hotel Baia

The hotel staff were friendly and around throughout the day. Breakfast was served until 11, with good options and outdoor tables. The hotel also rents out its own beach chairs at reasonable prices compared with the beach club next door. It's right by the beach and only a two-minute walk from the train station. The lift was for luggage only.

We enjoyed the breakfast, which felt homey, and the decor was very cute. Hotel Baia is perfectly located near the train station. Our room was clean and compact, and the stay was comfortable and lovely. Thank you ☺️

We arrived by bike and weren't even allowed inside. The owner came straight at us, saying bikes were strictly forbidden, with no discussion. When I asked for somewhere secure, she pointed us to a public parking lot. After we sorted out the bikes, we went back to reception to check in. She had started registering us, then changed her mind and refused to give us access to the room we'd already paid for, saying we had a “bad attitude.” When we couldn't understand it, she promised a refund through Booking.com. A week later, nothing had come through. Now the hotel denies making that promise and refuses to refund us. An unacceptable stay: aggressive treatment, an unjustified refusal of service, no professionalism, and a broken promise. Avoid this place.

The room and view were beautiful, and the location was fantastic. If you book an ocean-view room, the view is stunning. There are stairs to reach the rooms, but a lift is available for luggage. My one reservation is that the staff service could be better, which may explain the low Google rating. Still, I'd recommend it for the lovely room.
