After 100km of riding uphill, we arrived to find awesome food and everyone was super nice. In 3500km of cycling in europe, these were the nicest people and the best service I’d encountered.

The pictures don’t show how beautiful this place is. We had the best time during our weekend stay, with amazing views and really friendly staff. The weather was great too, and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

The room was small, but clean and air conditioned, and the stay was good value for money. Food portions were huge and very good quality. The staff were polite and attentive. It’s a stunning hilltop spot, looking out over the bays below in the distance.

The views are outstanding, and the location is great, though it’s a bit far from the montersso beach. The shuttle service is excellent and takes you to and from monterosso train station. There was no air-conditioner remote provided even though the airconditioner worked fine, despite asking. The buffet breakfast was decent, and the rooms were a little small but nice and clean.

Pack light, because getting bags in and out will be a challenge. There’s a free shuttle bus to and from Monterosso al Mare. It leaves I Lecci Soviore around 9:15 and picks you up from Monterosso al Mare around 19:00. The best way to visit all five villages is by train. The 16.5 Euros all day pass avoids the parking and narrow road problems. Breakfast out in nature is hard to beat, if you’ve done it before you’ll know what I mean. There’s also a great view of the Monterosso al Mare.
