La Serra Sul Mare

Breakfast was a treat each morning, and the shuttle to and from town worked really well. From our room, the sea looked fantastic in the mornings. The forecast on our phone kept warning about rain, but Monterosso stayed sunny and hot the whole time, so don't put much faith in the app here. The hotel is in a perfect spot. Getting around was straightforward: the shuttle, a taxi, or the bus can cover the 1 km to the old town, since the walk there is a bit much, especially on the way back uphill. From Monterosso, it was easy to take a train or ferry to explore the rest of Cinque Terre. We appreciated the free parking on site, and driving in wasn't difficult. This is a small four-room BnB above town. The owner was lovely and made our short visit feel easy. Our room had plenty of space and was well equipped, and breakfast was generous. The welcome glass of prosecco was a nice touch too.

The only small drawback for me was that there was no WiFi. Otherwise, it was a great stay, with spectacular views, air conditioning, and staff who were incredibly friendly. Breakfast was the best I've had on my travels. There's a complimentary taxi or shuttle into town about once an hour. At the time I posted this, the map pin was in the wrong place.

The sea view makes breakfast especially lovely, and the rooms are beautiful. Guests also have reserved parking and a shuttle for getting into the city and back. A great B&B.
