Il Giardino di Lavanda

Dinner was a highlight: Giuseppe made delicious dishes, with help from his partner, Chiara. The hosts were attentive and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the rooms had thoughtful details that made them comfortable. The B&B Il Giardino di Lavanda in Montesano sulla Marcellana sits among fragrant flowers, making it easy to enjoy the calm and natural surroundings. Our visit was brief, but we know where we’ll stay if we’re back in the area. Highly recommend it for a relaxing break.

Giuseppe even set up Wi-Fi for guests who need internet, since the connection wasn’t working. He and his partner, Chiara, were kind, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. While Giuseppe cooked, Chiara offered to keep the little ones entertained in the children’s play area as we ate. The place is clean, peaceful, and surrounded by greenery, just right for unwinding. I’d recommend it. If someone expects self-service breakfast and a moka pot, they may be happier at a 5+ star property. Chiara & Giuseppe, all the best. ❤️

For anyone hoping to take a break from their phone, this is a great choice. Our room in the countryside was VERY CLEAN, even compared with the cobwebs I’ve come across in plenty of other hotels 🤭. The owners were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt very family-friendly. The setting among the mountains and countryside is lovely. There are two access roads, one steep and one gentler, so set your GPS to avoid dirt roads. There’s also a little chapel built into the rock.

Even our dog, Tia, seemed grateful for the lovely welcome. We hadn’t expected such a beautiful, welcoming place. Giuseppe and Chiara made dinner with produce from their garden, and everything was delicious. A wonderful place to relax in Cilento, which really is a magical land.
