Paula and Anthony made sure we felt looked after from the moment we reached the Villa. The trip there had been rough: we were driving an electric rental car, couldn't swap it before leaving the airport, and found so few charging stations that we nearly got stranded. The owners went out of their way to help us locate places to charge it. They treated us like family, and everything at the Villa was lovely. The place itself was beautiful and the food was delicious. The cooking class is a lot of fun, so sign up if you go. Their dogs are an added bonus, so cute. Paula, Anthony, thanks for taking such good care of us and making the trip so memorable. We'll never forget your kindness.

The setting is charming, with thoughtful details and all the comforts we needed for our vacation. The hotel is about 30 minutes south of Florence, and it's an easy base for visiting Tuscany's major historic cities without spending too long in the car. Paola was efficient and helpful in the lead-up to our trip, and we felt at home within minutes of arriving at Villa La Cappella. Anthony and Paola went above and beyond with every detail, from restaurants and places to visit to activities. We loved the personalized cooking class Giovanna led, and both the adults and our 2 teenagers enjoyed it. Her meals were wonderful, too. The pool is beautiful and set up so you can enjoy the views while you swim. The whole place feels peaceful, surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and cypress trees, with lovely light at sunrise and sunset. I just spent an incredible week at the Villa and can't recommend it enough. Paola and Antonio, the owners, and their staff, Giovanna and Maria, were warm and thoughtful, and made it feel like a home away from home. And the food was wonderful: every dish was made from scratch with care and full of flavor. For a quiet escape, this place is a must.

The owners and staff made the villa feel warm and welcoming, like staying with lifelong friends while still having privacy. They offered suggestions and helped book wine tastings and dining. The chef made the best food we had in Italy. With only a few hours' notice, she put together a delicious three-course meal based on a theme we'd requested. The classically beautiful Tuscan villa sits above a lovely valley, conveniently near Florence and San Gimignano, and has modern comforts for an easy stay. It was the highlight of our trip to Italy. We highly recommend Villa La Cappella and hope to return.

We loved the food, especially the delicious meals Chef Giovanna prepares. Paola and Anthony are such welcoming, helpful hosts. Villa La Cappella makes a great base for day trips to vineyards, hill towns, and Florence, or you can stay in, relax by the pool, and enjoy the view. I can't wait to go back.
